| Welcome to the World of Decorative Concrete. Decorative concrete is ideal for both interior and exterior. If your living in Houston than most likely you have a concrete foundation. Why cover it with an ordinary flooring system that will need to be replaced over and over again. Decorative concrete will never swell, buckle, collect dust mites, as all the other flooring options do. With proper care your decorative concrete floor will look the same for years as the day it was completed. One of the best benefits of our flooring system is the easy and low maintenance is required. We use only Kemico acid stain. We are able to make cuts directly into your concrete giving you a tile and even a hardwood look for interior and natural stone, brick and tile for exterior. Our designs are not limited to those. Please don't confuse us with contractors that claim that the can do the same. Our equipment does not consist of a grinder with a diamond blade. We employ the patented Engrave-A-Crete and KaleidoCrete systems. These innovative tools allow us to cleanly and accurately transform ordinary existing concrete into unique and extraordinary designs in just a few days. |
| Acid stain is not a paint or coating agent, rather, it's a coloring process involving a chemical reaction. A solution made with water, acid and inorganic salts reacts with minerals already present in the concrete, the results of this reaction is color. Concrete engraving is the process of cutting and chipping into the existing concrete removing the surface that was stained, giving the illusion of grout and designs. Overlays are applied to concrete that has been abused with years of neglect or in many cases paint left behind from careless homebuilder and contractors. This process is ideal if a floor system has already existed on the slab. Carpet glue, harsh chemicals, pet urine, adhesives will all affect on how acid stain reacts and will show in the final results. A simple overlay will give you a new canvas and will insure the best reaction possible. |
